World AIDS Day Interfaith Prayer Service

Since 1988, December 1 has been recognized around the globe as “World AIDS Day.” The purpose of this important observance is to remember those who we have lost, to celebrate survivors, to educate, and to promote awareness. This year, events will be taking place all week long across the State, but one of the first of these events will be an Interfaith Prayer Service to be held on Sunday, December 1, at 4:00pm. Open Table of Christ Church (1520 Broad Street, Providence) has kindly agreed to host us for this special celebration of hope, life, and remembrance.

We invite all clergy to invite their congregations to join us in prayer and song. Clergy are also invited to vest for the procession in whatever way would be most appropriate for a celebration like this in your liturgical tradition.
